On today’s EBT and SNAP Emergency Allotment update we have developing news including the announcement that those SNAP emergency officially are ending for all states so we are going to take a look at when that is happening and why it is before the end of the Public Health Emergency. We also have the newest states approved for P-EBT for school year 2022-2023 so we will recap those as well and take a look at the most up to date list of states approved for January Emergency allotments. Now starting off with developing news that those Snap Emergency Allotments which have been in place since early 2020 are officially ending starting March 1st which means February will be the last month those allotment payments will be issued to those states currently receiving them aside from South Carolina which will end 1 month earlier. Now these allotments were supposed to continue as long as the federal health emergency was in place, which is expected to be until April, however congress has voted to end the allotments before that time. Now turning to School year 2022-23 P-EBT as the USDA has approved 2 more states for the program bringing the total list up to 3. New Jersey and Vermont have joined Wisconsin on that list. For those of you in New Jersey you will receive your first P-EBT payment for the months of September through November in mid to Late February. Vermont will see their payment for the months of September to January in early April, and Wisconsin will see a payment this month for months August through October.
