Der SEG Voraustruppm, IUK Einheit des Malteser Hilfsdienstes Aachen zum Betreuungsplatz an Inda-Gymnasium im außerhalb liegenden Stadtteil Kornelimünster. Im einzelnen sind hier die Fahrzeuge ELW 1-01, KdoW 3 und ELW 2 zu sehen. Bei dem ELW 2 handelt es sich um einen ehemaligen 8-Tragen KTW.
Die Betreuungsplatzbereitschaft 500 entspricht dem Landeskonzept NRW und hat die Aufgabe, im Einsatzfall die Unterbringung und Betreuung von bis zu 500 Personen durchzuführen.

The Command Squad from the Malteser EMS Aachen responding to a mass casualty incident drill at the Inda Highschool in the borough of Kornelimünster. The Command Squad consists out of the class 1 command van, the chief car and the class 2 command truck. The concept to be able to treat up to 500 injured people was given by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
To get an idea of the different command units:
Class 1 command units, usually based on a van, are used in the everyday emergency calls
Class 2 command units, usually based on small trucks, are used in big calls, with many emergency services interacting together, many injured people etc.
Class 3 command units, usually based on big trucks or city buses, are used in extraordinary big emergencies. Class 3 Command units are normally only used in the very big cities.
