Bartók's 'Ten Easy Pieces' (though 11 in number), Sz. 39, BB 51 is a collection of short pieces for piano composed in 1908. Here the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók (1881 - 1945) mixes the beauty of folk material and children songs, with his own language of new sounds and harmonies, to create these wonderful pieces. Though seemingly 'easy', they demand a great control of tone, as well as interpretation.
