Captured here is one of the most unbelievable moments I have ever experienced in my years of recording emergency vehicles around the world! I was visiting a fire station of the 'Bomberos Costa Rica' in the city of Cartago, and was casually talking with the firefighters when I noticed a lot of smoke rising just a few hundred meters down the street from the station! I immediately pointed this out to the firefighters, who were equally concerned about it, but told me they had not yet been dispatched to respond to any related incident. However, sure enough, just moments later the alarm tones went off in the station and an engine was assigned to extinguish the fire. I was told that it was likely a relatively minor vegetation or garbage fire, which is why only one unit was sent to the call. Of course, I was more than thrilled to capture the response, but the whole thing was quite a crazy coincidence! My special thanks go out to the firefighters of Cartago for their hard work and for welcoming me to their station!
