An approx. ten month old female leopard escaped a narrow brush with death after falling into a 40 foot deep open well in Aalegaon Paga village located in Shirur, Maharashtra. The young cub was rescued by the Wildlife SOS team along with the Forest Dept. and later after undergoing a thorough medical examination by our senior veterinarian, Dr. Ajay Deshmukh, the young cub was released back in the vicinity where her mother was spotted.
