I cook a charcoal bread in a french oven or crock pot. There is no kneading required and very little effort although it is made over two days. The extended proving time gives a superior sourdough flavour. There are plenty of videos showing how to make a sourdough starter, mine is about 7 years old. You can use instant yeast if you prefer, just add about 1/4 teaspoon in with the dry ingredients. You may need to add more water to compensate.
