A five and a half mile circular walk to the summit of Pumlumon Fawr (also known as Plynlimon in English) which is the highest peak (752m) in the Cambrian Mountain range of Wales. It is located in the centre of Wales. The summit affords great views to Snowdonia in the north and the Brecon Beacons to the south.
The Pumlumon area is the largest watershed in Wales and is the source of the rivers Wye, Severn and Rheidol.
It is a particularly good walk after wet weather as most of it is on hard tracks and because the starting point is quite high there is not a huge ascent so it is also suitable for families with active young children.
