Although 14-year-old A.J. Knowlton loves her family, her behavior toward them often reflects irritation and embarrassment. Entrepreneurial ideas and a desire to be popular occupy her mind, preventing her from seeing how her actions affect others. One night, A.J. falls from a hayloft and experiences an incredible journey back to 1929 where she meets her grandfather as a teenager and gains a new perspective and appreciation for her family.
