Horizontal stacks are among my favorite intermediate poi tricks! First discovered by poi phenom Ivan "Mel" Gorbunov in his video Red Pants, horizontal stacking works like a microcosm of the poi world. Take any flower pattern, cut it in half, add a pendulum, and make the other hand work the same pattern asynchronously. This creates really cool poi patterns that seem to fall in and out of chaos as well as defying gravity.
