A fun solo day hiking in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. I drove from SLC towards Mirror Lake in the High Unitas Mountains to park at Trial Lake and start my hike past Wall Lake, over Notch Mountain, and then finishing at Meadow Lake in September. It was roughly 13 miles round trip and took me about 7 hours including a quick nap at meadow lake. I plan on coming out and doing the Highline Trail one and this gave me a good taste of some of what I should be seeing.

The weather was bluebird skies and a little cooler, great hiking weather as long as you had sun protection. It was pretty dry up there and much more brown than I expected from the pictures I saw, but plenty of water sources.
