Eucharistic Adoration is an important part of any Catholic's prayer life. One church in Maryland is making sure it never stops. For years, the chapel in Gaithersburg, Maryland has been open day and night. Grace Morrison calls it her lifeline and says "This is where I come to talk to my friend, to hear what the Lord wants." Morrison goes to the Adoration Chapel at St. John Neumann Parish at least once a week for an hour. Fr. Stefan Yap, the Parochial Vicar at St. John Neumann Church says, "Of course Christ is everywhere, God is everywhere, He has created all things. But He has given us this very unique opportunity to be in front of Him face to face." Fr. Stefan says the devotion to Perpetual Adoration is strong at his parish. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every hour is booked by at least 1 person adoring Christ. Parishioner Tony Castellano is part of a mens' group at the parish that helps to fill those early morning hours of adoration. He believes the extra effort to keep it perpetual is all worth it. For almost 20 years the parish has had Perpetual Adoration. Even during the pandemic, the Blessed Sacrament was placed right inside the doors and people would pray outside. Correspondent Mark Irons reports.
