I took an overnight train journey from Stockholm, Sweden to Narvik, Norway. Aboard the Vy Nattåg, I ate reindeer, attempted a shower, and spent 22 hours gently rolling ever northward, through the wild Swedish hinterlands in autumn, to a Norwegian town way above the Arctic Circle. What an experience – despite my original plans being canceled due to track maintenance.
