On May 4, 2017, former AHRQ director Andrew Bindman, M.D. gave the third annual Director's Lecture at the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. Titled "The Inside and Outside Game of Health Policy", his talk helped the audience of healthcare researchers and students understand more about how stakeholders, elected officials and agency/legislative staff members interact, and how academics can add their voices and research-backed evidence to that ecosystem.
