Also, Daniel finished the thing!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the vault
Not a creature was stirring, not even a malt;
The tube socks were hung by the bunghole with care,
In hopes that The Demigod soon would be there;
Rex and Daniel were passed out on two leather couches;
While their families were waiting at home in their houses;
And Deb with her hoodie, and Emma in her hat,
Had just closed the distillery for a long winter's nap,
When out from the tower there arose such a clatter,
Rex sprang from his couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window Daniel flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the edge of the dead cedar trees,
Gave a lustre of midday to the snobby dolphin’s knees,
If I hadn’t seen it, they wouldn’t believe it could be true
He had stolen a sleigh and kidnapped a crew,
Who knows where the driver was, I hope he got away quick,
This thong wearing dolphin could not be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Josh! now, Gretchen! now Christina and now Terry!
On, Jose! on, Chad! on, Guentzel and Tommy!
To the top of the vault! to the top of the tower!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the rooftop the coursers they flew
With the sleigh of empty bottles, and the dolphin too—
And then, in a twinkling, they heard at the door
The vault lock was turning and he opened the door.
As they drew in their heads, and were turning around,
Down the stairway the dolphin came with a bound.
He was dressed in a green cape, from his head to his knees,
Wearing only a thong and two tiny pasties;
A bundle of empty bottles he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a drunk bum as he opening his pack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! his fish head was scary!
His cheeks were like gray plates, his teeth sharp and shiny!
His footsteps were soft and his movements were sneaky ,
And he intended to steal all the rarest of whiskey;
He’d hoped they’d be reading or playing with their children,
He’d hoped they would be standing at home in their kitchen;
But the vault never rests, too many whiskies to review
They don’t have vacation like normal people do
He was certain they didn’t deserve all this Blantons
It should be collected not drunk with abandon
Rex made some move, just the smallest of gestures
The Dolphin realized he was caught by a clown and court jester;
He looked to Daniel’s waist, instantly uncertain,
And said with a gasp, oh my god, is that a Merkin?
And dashing back quickly he vanished from site,
And we heard his footsteps, running frantic and light;
His sleigh and crew were missing, along with his cash,
They were sipping drams slowly from Daniel’s private stash.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he ran out of sight—
“I’ll get you next time you Bastards. Goodnight!”
