**some instructions for those that have asked!! i really just used whatever i had laying around and made it up as i went along so directions aren't super solid lol
or the top square, the cardboard is roughly 10"x10" and the piece of fabric is probably about 22"x15". for the round part, the cardboard is about 3.5"x24" in total, and then the ends overlap 1" on each side so the circumference is about 22" (though be sure to fit it to your head! i held it around my head with the bottom edge probably halfway down my forehead and made sure i had enough length to overlap the ends and glue them together) and then the fabric was about 8"x25" (so make sure it's about an inch longer than the length of the cardboard)
like so many of us, my college graduation was cancelled due to covid after i spent like 8 years working towards this degree it's fine i'm not upset at all 🙃🙃🙃
but i took this opportunity to make my own graduation cap and stage my own graduation ceremony where my dog gives me my diploma, which is ideal
