Prof. Mark Levi is an applied mathematician who uses geometry and analysis to understand physical problems. He writes a monthly column titled 'Mathematical Curiosities' and books for a popular audience, including 'Why Cats Land on Their Feet' and 'The Mathematical Mechanic' (Amazon top 10 bestseller for science in 2009), in which he uses physical intuition to prove well-known mathematical theorems.
