This 22 year old Welsh section A pony obviously suffers with locking stifle bilaterally. This condition had a gradual onset and had been getting worse over time. On assessment major muscle imbalances were found and duly addressed with myofascial release techniques and massage of back and hindquarters but Bowen therapy was also applied to holistically treat the pony as neck and shoulders were also affected by imbalance and tightness. The result lasted for a good while but gradually the imbalances returned, bringing with them the locking stifle. Another short course of treatment yielded same results.
