Marc Viquez checks out an Indy Eleven game at Carroll Stadium on the campus of IUPUI. The USL Championship club began at the stadium before relocated to Lucas Oil Stadium in 2018; the team returned in 2021 as they wait to build their own soccer-specific venue.
The move back to IUPUI provides an atmosphere that was missing at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Brickyard Battalion--the official supporters group-is allowed to blow off smoke after goals and wins and the place feels more festive throughout the grounds.
