I was waiting to try this blend and I was not disappointed. I enjoy it so much that I keep it for special occasions, as it is not available to buy currently online certainly not available in the UK. If you find this blend available anywhere don’t hesitate, it is a delicious & complex VaPer blend.

The 2023 edition of Cornell & Diehl's Carolina Red Flake with Perique — the blend's third incarnation — is a masterful tribute to the United States' historic Old Belt growing region, featuring two exquisite Red Virginia grades alongside naturally sweet Canadian Bright leaf and genuine St. James Parish Perique from C&D's exclusive farm in Louisiana.
Grown, harvested, cured, and barrel-aged all at 31 Farms — a single, family-owned farm in the heart of St. James Parish, Louisiana — C&D's authentic Perique contributes unparalleled richness and complexity, ranging from deep stone fruit notes to bold, piquant spice. This rare varietal — the rarest in the world, in fact — combines with several top-tier flue-cured grades, including Heirloom Red Virginia tips from 2013, aged ten years; matured Georgia-grown Red-Orange leaf from 2019; and Canadian Bright leaf from 2019, boasting an impressive sugar content of 28.5%. Together, these exquisite Virginia grades empower a kaleidoscope of complementary flavors, from baked goods and warming spices to brighter, citrusy highlights — all elevated by 31 Farms' Perique.
