Swordsage brought a number of LK Chen swords to try out. They are reproductions of Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE) designs. I was surprised by how light they felt, while retaining plenty of cutting power.
You can also see the difference in technique when cutting tatami mats. He learned sword handling through Chinese martial arts and utilizes somewhat different body mechanics than what I'm used to from my practice of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts).
Definitely interesting, and a lot of fun!
