Split level homes have been notorious, for me, for termites exploiting the "split" where the soil and void of the foundation are. Throughout the years some of the only termite retreatments I've ever done have been mostly on split level homes. There is a natural void in this area and often construction debris ends up in this area which obstructs termiticide treatments or there was wood debris thrown there during construction which
