After Susmita Dev, is it the turn of Former Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma to dessert the Congress party? Speculations are flying thick and fast that veteran Congress leader Mukul Sangma could quit the party and join the Trinamool Congress.
Speaking to Northeast Live Editor-in-Chief Wasbir Hussain, Mukul Sangma said he would be meeting Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Sunday for one final round to see if the issues that have forced him to consider leaving the Congress could be resolved to his satisfaction. Significantly Mukul Sangma also maintained that he still believes issues can be resolved within the fore walls of the party.
