This week, I headed to a small(er) city - Redmond, Washington, for my street photography. When you think of Redmond, you may think of Microsoft, because that’s where they have their headquarters. But, their main campus is not in downtown Redmond, which is where I made these photos.

Some differences between downtown Redmond and downtown Bellevue:
* Redmond is a city of approximately 75,000, while Bellevue has a population of about 150,000
* Downtown Redmond is much more residential. There are few office buildings. Bellevue downtown is a mix of areas with multi-family housing and office buildings.
* The buildings in Redmond are much smaller, with a maximum of height of 6 stories. Buildings in downtown Bellevue are much larger, with the current tallest over 40-stories tall.
* Both cities are experiencing construction of light rail projects. Bellevue’s mostly misses the main part of downtown where I photograph, while Redmond’s will have a path through a large part of the middle of the downtown section, and will pass over the nature trail you’ll see in the video…

I'm glad for the opportunity to spend time in a different place with different people, architecture and places to photograph. I'll be returning to Bellevue at least a couple of times in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned!
