LaVishia's doctor didn't know what was wrong with her and sent her to a heart specialist at the University of Michigan, who inserted an LVAD (left ventricle assist device) to help LaVishia's heart pump while she waits for a donor heart. LaVishia walks 2-3 miles every other day and lives her life to the fullest with her family as she waits for her heart transplant.
