Östermalms Saluhall has been named "The world's 7th best food hall".

The acknowledgement was given to us by the prestigious and award-winning magazine Bon Appétit in 2007. Among others, on the top ten list, were the food market halls in Tokyo and Budapest.

Östermalms Saluhall receiving international attention is nothing new in itself. This meeting and trading place is found in most guidebooks of Stockholm and has attracted visitors for more than 130 years. The world-famous chef Jamie Oliver recently appointing Östermalms Saluhall to one of his favourite places in Stockholm, is also something that we see as "a feather in the cap" and a good sign that our environment and food culture is highly valued abroad.
