Sorry, I don't have a PS5 so this video isn't 60 fps. It's much smoother to play but my old PS4 only records low-res, 30fps video. But this way it looks more... cinematic?(sure.) The only reason I ever played Redout 2 was because my PS4 died and I couldn't play WipEout anymore.(It's a PS exclusive and not for PC, unfortunately.) While Redout 2 is KINDA like WipEout, they are both entirely different from each other. I feel that Redout 2 is a much more satisfying challenge, as it depends on your skills alone to win races and get good lap times, but the weapons and luck-of-the-draw nature of WipEout make it just plain fun. If you run a good race (or really bad race) in Redout you won't ever see the competition, but in WipEout the AI seems to rubber band around you, which can suck when you're in the lead, but when you're way behind it remains possible to win. That being said, the way you fly the ships in WipEout is completely different than in Redout, and there is still a learning curve.(Airbrakes instead of strafing) It IS still up to your skills as a pilot to win races and get good lap times, so it's also a worthwhile challenge. It might not be as fast as Redout, but the tracks and environments are a lot more detailed. WipEout Omega Collection is a BEAUTIFUL game! Since the PS4 miraculously came back to life after replacing my old TV, I figured I had to make at least one video for the series that originally got me into antigravity racing.
