In June 2017, after 6 months on intensive training, I embarked with fellow climber Nick on an adventure in Ecuador, which I have entitled "Quest to Touch the Sun." This video is Part 1 and is a training acclimation climb to the summit of the Volcano Rucu Pichincha at 15,419 feet. Nick and I are the first clients to climb with Andengipfel Reisen, a new touring company formed by Karla Riegler and internationally certified mountain guide Estalin Suarez. This video provides a good idea about climbing Rucu Pichincha, just to the West of Quito.
