edit; (didn't think this would be such a problem. everyone seems to find different problems and fixes, comments explain other fixes that have been found by the community since the first week, in 2023 its still not fixed. i don't really play this game anymore but hopefully you can fix it the same way I did if not to find a fix in the comments below)

This is a glitch that has plagued assassin's Creed Valhalla since release.

your hood will not change to the proper Hood you have equipped.

to fix it get on your horse unequip all items then reequip all items and put your hood back on through the "hood on" animation.
