The operation to retake Mosul from ISIL, also known as ISIS, is being keenly watched by members of Iraq's Yazidi community, who fear their loved ones are being kept in the city. Several thousand Yazidi women and men are being held by ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, after being captured in northern Iraq, though some have been taken to Syria. Many of the women have been traded as sex slaves by ISIL fighters. Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford met some Yazidi women rescued by the Kurdish Peshmerga.
