An inconsistently paced and at times rushed sounding performance, this also struggles with miking/venue issues and various unwelcome noises. Originally released on a single album collection of Tchaikovsky pieces, but in this case found on record 5 of a 1988 box set released on ASV/GRT.
Cannons - 1st section bass drum, 2nd section bass drum and something else - possibly an effect
Choir - no.
Quirks - inconsistent and unconventional pacing, some stray background noises, strings drowned out, a brief glockenspiel part (?!).
Catalogue - GVB 603-5.
