The Infusion deviation syndrome occurs when the irrigating fluid enters the retro lenticular space via the spaces in between the zones. It could be progressive or intermittent or reversible. It causes shallowing of AC, pupillary shut down and raised IOP. The LIDRS or lens iris diaphragm retropulsion syndrome occurs due to low scleral rigidity and causes a dramatic deepening of the anterior chamber with infusion. Both the above are common during phaco in highly myopic eyes. Sometimes as in this case both can coexist which leads to some interesting and dramatic behaviour of the anterior chamber
