Did you know this in the amazing digital circus?

During the pilot we learn about abstractions, which are when characters go insane and become these creepy glitched creatures. We see some of these abstractions in the paintings in kaufmo’s room, kaufmo himself gets abstracted, and we also see them in the cellar beneath the digital circus.

What most fans don’t know is that The design of these creatures are actually a reference to the another project made by the digital circus’s creator, gooseworx. In another animation called elain gets adopted we see a group of characters called the elders of lost eyes, which the abstractions are based on. We’ll likely see these abstracted creatures play a bigger role in future episodes of the show.
