This is a music video written, directed and produced by Kevin J. Williams and Shamrock/Stine Productions for the rap music group, STRONG PEEPS. Shot entirely in Trenton, NJ, the video incorporates many historic locations such as the Trenton Battle Monument (site of George Washington's Continental Army beginning the First Battle of Trenton on Dec. 26, 1776); the famous TRENTON MAKES, THE WORLD TAKES BRIDGE; and modern locations such as the downtown Trenton Business District, Route 29 along the Delaware River, Sound of Trenton music store, the now defunct Urban Word Cafe and at the intersection of Walnut and Hampton Avenues in one of Trenton's toughest and roughest neighborhood's - the Wilbur section.
This is a good example of what can be done a micro-budget. The video was shot on the then, hot new 1-Chip Canon Optura MiniDV camera. It was edited with the help of Kyle Lake, a talented student at Trenton State College (Oops. I'm sorry... the College of New Jersey. Just kidding TCNJ!).
Nearly 100 extras were used for the shoot and the small film crew of six, along with four actors and three STRONG PEEPS members were successful in telling a story about a music force on the rise in a city that has struggled since the riots of 1968. It is with a fond remembrance of a great shooting experience and the hard work of everyone involved that this video is posted on You Tube. It has been a long time since we made it, but I hope you like. Slainte'. Kevin
