Welcome Everyone to Tarot Tuesday.
FYI: THERE ARE ARTFUL NUDES IN MY DECK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
A few years ago, I made my own Pre-Raphaelite, Renaissance art style deck.
I did not mention this in the video and I wanted to say that I made this deck as a learning tool. Yes, it was fun. Yes, it was arduous. But, I DID go through the process of choosing my own images as a way to further expand my intuition and relationship with the cards.
Guess what... it worked! When I work with MY OWN deck, I feel my third eye opening a little more.
As a creator, painter and crafter, I loved the art project aspect of going through the whole process of making a deck. I was already pretty involved in the tarot at the time and decided to expand that knowledge. Planning and navigating the logistics was such a learned activity. Furthermore, deciding WHICH images to place for each of the 78 cards was eye-opening. I consider myself a Thoth deck person, therefore, it was surprising that most of the images I chose tended to go Rider-Waite Smith!
I go through some of my favorites and give a little information as to why I may have chosen those particular images. Even though this deck is for my hands only, I DID decide to use ONLY free images found online!
This video is NOT sponsored in any way but since I mentioned the printing company I used... I will leave a link to their website for you to check out. There have been some wonderful decks that have come out of this printing company!
