After 7 years, it was finally time to revisit the northern Coast of Colombia.
My buddy and I started our Journey in Santa Marta Colombia, then ventured deep into jungles of Parque Tayrona, reaching the long beaches.
Then we Ventured back, briefly visited Taganga, and finally made it to the ultra-historical fortress city of Cartagena.
Notes:
- Explore the historic center of Santa Marta and enjoy the lively atmosphere during the holidays
- Take the four-hour trail through the jungle in Parque Tayrona and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Northern Coast of Colombia
- Taganga is a fishing village and a tourist destination with two beaches, Playa de Taganga where fishermen will station their boats, and Playa Grande where tourists come for swimming and sunshine.
- Cartagena was captured two or three times by pirate forces, causing the city to be destroyed and leveled, but it recovered and rebuilt once more.
- If you decide to walk along Boca Grande, bring lots of water, an umbrella, and plenty of sunscreen because it'll take at least two or three hours to walk the entire stretch of beaches.
