When you have very little experience or professional knowledge to offer, the one thing you can always do is offer your time. The value you get from an internship or similar experience is not in the actual tasks you are being assigned, but in the people and connections, you make while working. Use these opportunities as a way to meet like-minded people and build a real connection with them. When you are early on in your career, your network, and the people who associate with you are going to be dramatically more important than what your resume says you have done.
