We're taking a trip down memory lane and catching up with the fabulous cast of the iconic BBC comedy, Dinnerladies. It's been quite a journey for these talented individuals since the show aired from 1998 to 2000. Let's start with the brilliant mind behind it all, the late Victoria Wood, who portrayed the lovable Bren. Victoria was a comedy legend, and Dinnerladies was just one gem in her illustrious career. From Acorn Antiques to As Seen on TV, she left an indelible mark. Victoria received numerous accolades, including five Bafta awards, an OBE, and a CBE. Tragically, she left us on April 20, 2016, at the age of 62, leaving behind a legacy of laughter.
Now, let's talk about Thelma Barlow, who played the endearing Dolly. Before her days at the canteen, Thelma had already made a name for herself in Coronation Street, playing Mavis Wilton for an incredible 26 years. After hanging up her apron, she gracefully retired from acting at the age of 92, making her last appearance in the 2016 film Florence Foster Jenkins. #Dinnerladies #VictoriaWood #AndrewDunn
