Today on Booze On The Rocks we make three Japanese Whisky cocktails with Hibiki Whisky. I used Hibiky Whisky which is a blend of three distilleries from the Suntory Brand. Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita and is a combination of malt and single grain whiskys. These three cocktails are a complete range of flavors. Simple to make and so very tasty. You can't go wrong. JAPANESE WHISKY GINGER HIGHBALL
3.5 oz/105 ml Ginger Beer
2 oz/60 ml Soda Water
1 oz/30 ml Japanese Whisky
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Method
1. Build in highball glass in order of ingredients
2. Stir gently.
3. Garnish with an Orange Slice.
THE BEAST
2 Sugar Cubes
4 Dashes Angostura Bitters
1 Cocktail Cherry
1 Orange Wheel
1 Lemon Wheel
1 Lime Wheel
2 oz/60 ml Japanese Whisky
2 oz/60 ml Ginger Ale
Method
1. Add first 6 ingredients to the glass.
2. Muddle gently.
3. Add Ice.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Stir gently.
BLACK SHIP
1 Tsp/5 ml Lemon Juice
1 oz/30 ml Pomegranate Juice
.25 oz/7.5 ml Port
1.5 oz/45 ml Japanese Whisky
Method
1. Add all ingredients to the shaker tin.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Fine strain in to a Nick and Nora Glass.
4 Garnish with a Lemon Twist.
