As you start gluing your pipes label them at the elbows, along the lenghts of them and, specially, at the pad, where they stub up. Ex: "R" for returns; "Skim" for skimer; "M.D" for main drains. This will not only help you keep track of what is what, but also others that might come in after you to work/continue. But, most importantly, labeling them at the stub ups will make sure you know which line is which when it comes to plumbing the equipment.
