Chestnut and Mushroom Lasagna Ingredients
3 tbsp or 45ml olive oil
8oz box or 227g baby bella mushrooms
1 large shallot bulb
1 red bell pepper
1/2 lb or 250g ground pork
1/2 lb or 250g ground beef – 93% lean
3 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 cup or 135g chopped chestnuts- roughly 13 chestnuts
1/3 cup or 83ml white wine
5 tbsp or 40g all-purpose flour
2 cups or 500ml chicken broth
2 cups or 500ml heavy cream
Dash of nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
2.5oz or 120g chopped spinach
12 lasagna sheets
1 tbsp salt
2 cups or 227g shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Bake in a pre heated oven at 350 F or 176 c for 40 minutes covered with aluminum foil. Remove the foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes. If you like a touch of golden brown on top – broil for an addition minute or 2 until the top of the lasagna is cooked as you like it.
