Six surface-to-air missile units from three theaters of the Chinese People's Liberation Army have recently conducted a military drill to test and improve the air defense capabilities.
The drills were conducted in surface-to-air confrontations, special vehicle driving, light weapon firing and physical strength competition.
At a special vehicles competition site, six drivers that came out from the preliminaries participated the finals of special vehicle driving. They drove vehicles each with a dead-weight of 34.5 tons and 13.5 meters in length, carrying launch vehicles, on the field with many obstacles.
In the previous physical strength assessment, the command randomly picked 70 officers and men from each team for a fully-armed 5-kilometer cross-country race.
In the shooting completion, officers and men were required to shoot at reverse and pop-up targets of different distances by using rifles and pistols after forced marching for a kilometer.
