From the outside the De Grijze Silo in Deventer still looks like an abandoned industrial building with its imposing concrete facade, which has dominated the local skyline since 1961. Inside, however, is a completely different story. Meet Anjo van den Brink and José van de Griendt who took on the ambitious project of transforming this former grain silo into a sustainable living space. Fifteen years of determined renovation work has resulted in the most modern home for Anjo and José, with technological solutions that allow for a comfortable everyday life while the character of the heritage building still shines through.
