I had failed EGR valve in this video. I tried to clean it with toothbrush and brake cleaner, but it was pretty much impossible while on car. The valve did not close all the way (does seat neatly with valve seat) and leaked exhaust gases into intake. 2-3mm of valve travel was missing to properly seal.
