Created by Andy Ruffell, Holeshot BMX & Skate ran from 1984 to 1987 & featured Mat Hoffman, Dennis McCoy, Christian Hosoi, Gator Rogowski, Dino DeLuca, Jeff Grosso, Jason Jesse, Mark Gonzales, Steve Alba, Josh White, Jason Ellis, Rich Sigur, Ron Wilkerson and UK Stars Neil Ruffell RIP, Craig Campbell, Carlo Griggs, Lee Reynolds and many more. The event was a forerunner to the modern X Games. BMXers and skaters from the UK and USA took part in wild competition on-ramps and flatland with the judges using the crowd reactions as part of the judging process. It was mayhem most of the time with the crowd invading the arena and the world's best riders and skaters riding the walls!
