Lateral hip pain commonly occurs from overloading of the lateral glute muscles. One of the solutions is to increase the capacity of these muscles to cope with the overload. The next complementary solution is to improve load capacity of other helping muscles such as the groin or lower back. Check our channel for these options.
A very useful exercise for targeting the hip abductors i.e. glute medius, minimus, maximus and tensor fascia latae! Try out these different variations to see if you have some underlying weakness you did not know about.
