Activating cheats may lead to different problems, this usually occurs when your ROM version is not compatible with the activated cheat codes, or you enabled too many cheats at once. Below are the best practices to help you get started on your Pokemon Fire Red cheating.

—Try to activate a maximum of 3 cheats in a game.
—Turn off cheats after use.
—Use a US version FireRed ROM if possible.
—Use recommended GBA emulators, GBA4ios (iOS), My Boy (Android) and Visual Boy Advance (Windows) and Open Emu (Mac OS).
—Save current game state before activating any of the listed cheats.
—After activating a cheat – Check your bag, if you noticed irregularities, DON’T save the game.

These Gameshark codes can be applied only to Pokemon Fire Red(US) versions as every Pokemon game series has its unique codes, so the cheat codes below do not work for LeafGreen or Emerald.
