Solvent recovery is an essential phase of the hydrocarbon extraction process. At its core, recovery is the process of distillation in which the solvent is evaporated out of the extract and condensed back to a liquid to be used for another extraction.
Passive recovery is a form solvent distillation that doesn't use pumps to phase change the solvent vapor to liquid, which is called "Active Recovery." Instead passive recovery uses cold surface area for the vapor condensing.
Bizzybee has always been known for utilizing passive recovery in our closed loop extractors. Learn more about how we perform passive recovery in this short video.
