Golra Railway Station is very important Railway Station of Pakistan, located in Islamabad having historical perspective. It was established in 1881 during British era and upgraded as junction in 1912. During Afghan Military campaigns this station was used to provide logistic facilities to British Army as well as this was also used for trade purposes at that time. In the year 2003 Government of Pakistan paid special attention to this station and converted it into museum. You will find steam engine, electric engine and many other cabins as well as other important railway things used by British Army. Daily more that 20 trains pass through this station. It is situated in southwest of Islamabad. You can approach this station by using public transport or your own transport from main Margala Road of Islamabad.
