CIDR is a device contains 1.38 gm progesterone which can be inserted by intravaginal route for 7 days which creates negative block on hypothalamus to release GnRH. After removal of this device Dairy animals will shows ovulatory estrus within 48 to 60 hrs. This method of estrus Induction is giving better results in farm animals. Also this technique is helpful in treating of various cases Cystic Ovarian Follicle and infertility problems.
