The 3-axis CNC I built is using an Er11 collet, which can hold max. 7mm shaft milling bits. If I use normal 6mm milling bit to do surface treatments, it's not efficient. However, the face milling cutters that available in the market are either with too big shaft (min. 10mm) or for woodwork only. No one can fit my needs to work on metal like aluminum or brass, etc. So I decided to make a face milling cutter myself. The final piece is with 6mm shaft and 25mm cutting diameter. It's not as perfect as the industrial product that can create Mirror-like surface. But definitely good enough for my daily usage😊
